Steere House will admit those patients/residents whose individual needs can be met by the staff and services available. A prospective patient/resident’s needs shall be thoroughly evaluated and the least restrictive alternative settings considered before acceptance for admission. The evaluation shall be a joint responsibility of the referring agency or institution, the admitting physician, and the nursing home as the receiving facility.
Any restrictions, priorities, or specific admission criteria shall be applied equally to all potential admissions regardless of the source of referral, race, creed, ethnic origin, gender, or gender orientation, in compliance with State and Federal anti-discrimination statutes.
Referrals of residents for Steere House shall be accepted from hospitals, other nursing homes, self-referrals, relatives of residents, guardians, officials of State and County agencies, community agencies, religious agencies, and physicians.
Our units are staffed by professional nurses and certified nursing assistants at all times. Our rehabilitation services support the clinical individual goals for each resident.
We also encourage and support our team of caregivers to develop their
skills. Advanced certifications in wound care, rehabilitation, dementia
and memory loss care, infection prevention and others are regularly achieved by our staff.
