The Steere House Activities Director, Gina Williamson, and her staff support the social, educational and physical needs of our residents through a variety of activities. Activities are open to all residents and their families, providing a wonderful opportunity for multiple generations to enjoy each other. Steere House hosts a variety of concerts, monthly birthday parties, drama therapy, aroma & reiki therapy, floral design classes and much more.
Road trips also offer wonderful opportunities to take in the local scenery. Our wheelchair accessible van enables everyone to enjoy off-site excursions, such as trips for lunch, Paw Sox games, area parks or simply a ride to a local beach for ice cream or lemonade.
Of course, residents are also encouraged to pursue individual activities, if that is their preference. To support these activities, our staff provides patterns, yarn and materials, jewelry kits, books, potting soil, and even local students and volunteers as companions.
The Activities Department has something everyone can enjoy!
